Donations

why donate to hockey at UoN?

Over the last few years Hockey at the University of Nottingham has been going from strength to strength. We now have 3 National League sides, with both the Ladies and Men’s 1st XI competing within the National Premier Division. Both the Men’s and Ladies’ Club have 6 BUCS teams and 6 England Hockey League teams, with many of the BUCS teams competing in the highest league possible and promotions a common sight at a weekend.

With all of our success, however, demands more resources such as coaching, equipment and increased league and travel costs. To compete at this level we need to invest in our programs but we can only do this with the support of sponsors and donors. In January 2022 we were able to invest in a camera mast thanks to your donations. It’s projects like these that enable us to keep progressing as a club, and compete at the highest level possible.

How to donate

You can make either One-Time Donations or Recurring Donations. If you were to make a Recurring Donation we would be able to build this into our budgets and investing it into coaching. If you were to make a One-Time Donation we would put this towards projects that would enhance our facilities or equipment. Donations can be made to UoNMHC, UoNLHC or hockey as a whole at UoN.

recent projects

Our most recent project was in January 2022 when we invested in our own 4K CaptureMast Camera System, which is used regularly to capture footage of our performance team matches for video analysis. The camera came at a cost of £2,640, but thanks to your donations you covered £1,980 of the cost of the camera. With two team in the Premier Division for the 2022/23 season, this will be extremely beneficial and we thank everyone who helped to make it happen!
