Ladies Coaching Team

The ladies club coaching team is made up of both external and student coaches. The 1st XI to 4th XI are led by external coaches, while other teams are coached by both UoNLHC and UoNMHC members, supported by Head Coach Matt Taylor.

MATT TAYLOR - head coach

Matt Taylor (Tails) has been with the Green & Gold since 2009, and as the UoNLHC Head Coach since Summer 2015. Tails brings a wealth of experience to the programme, through both his successful tenure at UoN and also through his previous coaching experience. Tails was previously Head Coach of Beeston HC in the Men’s Premier League, winning three Championships between 2010 and 2014, and also was coach of the Cannock Ladies’ side, winning promotion to the Premier League in 2009. He is a former England international, and has won several Premier League titles with Cannock HC.

Tails will coach both the Ladies 1st and 2nd XI for the 2022-23 season, as Head Coach for the former and in a supporting role alongside a student coach for the latter.
